To those of computer based minds

To those of you who have moved far beyond the act of using a prepackaged Operating System for the computer:

Apparently Linux users need some code in order to watch/rip HD-DVD movies. However, there is a special code that allows it to be freed.

09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0

I don't know what to do with it, but I felt that I should store this information ex publicus so all may view.

Excuse my while I push up my glasses, adjust my pocket protector, and talk to my online girlfriend, TammyCat623.

Military Commissions Act of 2006

Who knew this happened?
A bill was passed against unlawful enemy combatants, but in such a broad way that it could include anyone, and, anyone charged with being an unlawful enemy combatant has all rights revoked no matter what the circumstance

(g) Geneva Conventions Not Establishing Source of Rights- No alien unlawful enemy combatant subject to trial by military commission under this chapter may invoke the Geneva Conventions as a source of rights.

According to Bill Goodman, Legal Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights, and Joanne Mariner, from FindLaw, this bill redefines unlawful enemy combatant in such a broad way that it refers to any person who is

"engaged in hostilities or who has purposefully and materially supported hostilities against the United States."

This makes it possible for US citizens to be designated unlawful enemy combatant because

"it could be read to include anyone who has donated money to a charity for orphans in Afghanistan that turns out to have some connection to the Taliban or a person organizing an anti-war protest in Washington, D.C."

Other provisions include:
The Act changes pre-existing law to explicitly forbid the invocation of the Geneva Conventions when executing the writ of habeas corpus or in other civil actions [Act sec. 5(a)]. This provision applies to all cases pending at the time the Act is enacted, as well as to all such future cases.

If the government chooses to bring a prosecution against the detainee, a military commission is convened for this purpose. The following rules are some of those established for trying alien unlawful enemy combatants.

‘‘(b) NOTICE TO ACCUSED.—Upon the swearing of the charges and specifications in accordance with subsection (a), the accused shall be informed of the charges against him as soon as practicable.

* A civilian defense attorney may not be used unless the attorney has been determined to be eligible for access to classified information that is classified at the level Secret or higher. [10 U.S.C. sec. 949c(b)(3)(D)]

* A finding of Guilty by a particular commission requires only a two-thirds majority of the members of the commission present at the time the vote is taken [10 U.S.C. sec. 949m(a)]

* In General- No person may invoke the Geneva Conventions or any protocols thereto in any habeas corpus or other civil action or proceeding to which the United States, or a current or former officer, employee, member of the Armed Forces, or other agent of the United States is a party as a source of rights in any court of the United States or its States or territories. [Act sec. 5(a)]

* As provided by the Constitution and by this section, the President has the authority for the United States to interpr

Gross

'Twas eve. The length'ning shadows of the oak
And weeping birch swept far adown the vale;
And nought upon the hush and stillness broke,
Save the light whisp'ring of the spring-tide gale
At distance dying; and the measured stroke
Of woodmen at their toil; the feeble wail
Of some lone stock-dove, soothing, as it sank
On the lull'd ear, its melody that drank.

The sun had set; but his expiring beams
Yet linger'd in the west, and shed around
Beauty and softness o'er the wood and streams,
With coming night's first tinge of shade imbrown'd.
The light clouds mingled, brighten'd with such gleams
Of glory, as the seraph-shapes surround,
That in the vision of the good descend,
And o'er their couch of sorrow seem to bend.

'Tis thus in solitude; but sweeter far,
By those we love, in that all-soft'ning hour,
To watch with mutual eyes each coming star,
And the faint moon-rays streaming through our bower
Of foliage, wreath'd and trembling, as the car
Of night rolls duskier onward, and each flower
And shrub that droops above us, on the sense
Seems dropping fragrance more and more intense.

Now I don't know if it is the mood I am in or what, but I fucking hate everything about being alive right now. Nothing seems to going right. I can't get my house kept up--constatnyly people are telling me that is still looks like shit, and it does, after being here over a month--My schoolwork has me overloaded and I have no money because I can't work. my bike is broken and it just will not get fixed.

I feel like I need to leave. I just need to leave and not be back for a while. I can't do it but I feel I should. The probelm is their is no retreat like I used to have. I could always sneak back to my dorm or back to another group of people and feel fine about things. Shit is constantly happening and I just feel so damn lonely.

I fucking hate making posts like this because it is lame and I am bitching about nothing. I am fucking some yuppy spoiled ass white middle class kid who can't be bothered with people's shit. I just want things to cool down and stop. I need like a week off to get my shit in gear, but even then i doubt it would happen. I am constantly in this need to be kept busy but everytime I am busy I feel I should be letting myself rest.

I need a change.

Fuck this.
Fuck Me.

When the Hurly Burly's done, when the battle's lost and won

Alright, so yesterday was my birthday and it was pretty killer. Here is what I did/got:
-Class all day which sucked
-Yellow Submarine DVD
-School Supplies
-Evil Buu Thingy
-Razor Blades
-Star Wars 3 Bootleg
-Bar Tape
-$$$$ for books
-$$$ from relatives
-Rainer Maria and Q and Not U show paid for
-2 new wireless controllers for gamecube
-Pajama Pants
-Cable Lock
-Incense Holder
-Mix Tape
-Red Bottle Cage
AND THE BEST OF ALL: A CAKE SHAPED LIKE COUNT DOOKU'S FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! due to Shehara and Kelly expert cake baking, architecture, and design abilities.

It was awesome. We ended by watching the shining which I have never seen. It was a good day. Tonight I have work and I have to go get 2 cavities filled in 10 minutes. Other than that things are very good.

School seems like it is going to be mad hard and I am going to be doing nonstop work. However my schedule allows my Tuesday and Thursday days to be OFF!!!! So I have plenty of time to get my work done.

Mike Brennan is also back from Seattle and is now back for the year.

Also I am planning on building a tall bike because I REALLY want one. I have 2 frames and my dad can get some guy from his work to weld them together. If anyone has any websites or ideas on how to execute such a desire and what I need to know and what I need to get started that would be great. Alright I'm outie 5000.

Ramble, Ramble, Ramble

So, summer is coming to an end. I had a good run. Bike trips were fun, vacations were decent, and friends remain amazing. I wish all who are going away to school the best that I can give. I am probabaly going to be broke all year round because of the shithouse's rent. No big deal, I would rather have a house and be broke than live at home and have money. No joke.

I am thinking about a birthday party before school starts but I am not sure if I want to do that. I need to get started on making my Doc Ock costume for halloween but I have plenty of time to do that.

Should I get a job at ruby tuesdays? Would it be worth it? I need two jobs for the semester, and I am thinking also about getting a valet job with Kevin. GRRRRRR, I just don't know what I should do as of right now.

Well I am going to go see march of the penguins after I have a little bit of leftover pizza first. Alright well I'm out.

Enjoy the draw of a nice Lucky Strike

Well, It has been fun lately.

I have moved into a new house, deemed so aptly: the Shithouse. This is because the sewage blocked up in our basement leaving a large pile of human waste. It is OK now, it was cleaned up today. Also today the internet started and also the AC is to be fixed. However, the guy is not here and I don't know how to get in touch with them. I am sure that they won't be coming until tomorrow. If anyone is interested in mailing me anything the address is:
19 White Clay Drive
Newark, DE 19711

It is pretty tight so far and I am all about it.

I have my fixed bike and I feel its name should be Cain. I am getting better at track stands and skidding. My apprehension is dying down. I biked to work twice this week but today it was much too hot. Maybe I will try again tomorrow.

Other than that things have been chill. I should go buy a mouse for Cabron, but I am mad lazy. Alright I'm out

may he never more be warm

Well, things have been chill.

This summer is kind of beat. There have been highlights like the bike trip and what not, but other than that, nada. People are apathetic, myself included, to doing things. Factory is being destroyed, shit is changing. I fucking love when things change, but not for the worse. I believe things have become really dull in Delaware and somehow they need to be picked back up.

I just returned from family vacation. It was alright, a good time had by many. Taking my sister anywhere sucks though because she never wants to do anything. She spent the whole trip talking to people on her cell phone through text messages. She didn't go in the pool or have fun at the beach. Whatever man.

CP is not going so well. Business has slowed down a lot and I hope we don't go under when Ruby Tuesday opens up. I might be needing a new job.

Fixed gear parts should arrive tomorrow, which fills my body with excitment because I have been waiting for almost a month for all my ish to be ready.

Living situation next year is looking cloudy and dim. I am not sure what is going to happen but hopefully it involves a house.

This weekend should prove fun. Leftover Crack on Sunday, and I think something is happening saturday. I might go to NYC for Siren Fest for the day because that would be mad tight. I invite all those who would like to join me because I totally won't go by myself. man, but ti is going to be mad hot up there. However, if you aren't going to pitch in for gas, help drive, or pitch in for parking consider this your unvitation. Maybe china town bus, with a bike brought along, maybe instead.

I'm out.

It is a fine saturday, off from work, after a fine game of disc golf. I won, beating Ryan AND Robby with a 49. Things have been good. The bike trip to Rhode Island was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I have never felt so good in my life about my abilities as a human being. It really is a gigantic sense of accomplishment and wonder. 430 miles man, it was fucking tight.

Other than that I got my grades for school and all were satisfactory. I just found $100 in my back pocket when I was buying a Slurpee at 7-11 and I was so hyped up for it. HOWEVER, I came home and told my sister about it and she had asked if it was the hundred she had given me for a lost library book...and it was. So I found nothing of the sorts. I had so many plans for that money:buying Revenge of the Sith for PS2 and depositing it in the bank mostly.

I am about to go to a family get together which should prove enjoyable. Tonight is Bloc Party and I am ready for some mad dancing.

Charcoal Pit is similar to a second home now because I am there all the time. My WALLET feels good about it though.

I am also excited for my new fixed-gear bike I will be building shortly. My little brother just walked in singing Beastie Boys, and it was lame and he reeks of cologne. The boy is fucking 13, he doesn't need fucking cologne. He is such a pissant. Aight I'm out

Well my mood has indefinably changed. I am in a much happier state of mind right now.

Q and Not U was AMAZING! Best I have ever seen of them. Seriously, fucking amazing. I pretty much danced all my troubles and anger away. Ya know, fuck chicks man, i just gotta dance.

This weekend was low key. Lots of reading and paper beginning. Listened to a lot of the O&A show on XM and other such activities. Hung out with Kevin and Robby a bit. All was very fair.

This week should prove horrible. Monday I have work as well as Thurssday. I need to complete my hours for my education class. I am biking to the beach this weekend which is the only plus. Yet, I also have 3 papers to write, all of which need to be done by friday. So my week will be spent indoors, growing paler, yet wiser.

I think I have my thesis topic chosen. I think I will do it on this novella, Mathilda, by Mary Shelley. It is an amazing story and I suggest all go read it.
Time for some big words:
Alright enough of my felicity. Lassitude has overcome my eyes and ennui my mind. I must retire to bed before caprice sets in, but do not accuse me of pedantry, I do this to succour you all.

I have never been more angry in my life. I don't know what is doing it but all other human life pisses me off. People laughing makes me angry. Any sort of joy or mirth has me in extreme rage. I have no idea what is going on but I do know that I hate it. What the fuck man, What the fuck!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I hope the show tomorrow night will yield good times and dancing. Well now to read Mathilda, a sad tale of a girl's mother who died, her father abodoning her then coming back and then telling her that he hates her because it was her fault the mother died because the mother died in childbirth. Then the father dies because he abandons the girl again. How uplifting for my spirits!!!!

One month is all I have left of school. One month until I am free of my disgustingly annoying roomates and one month until I can relax a bit.

Right now I am in a horrible mood because I am just exhausted and the work just keeps piling up and I have lost the will to do anything.

I have to think about my senior thesis right now and i have NO IDEA what I am doing it on. Maybe I will do it on Mary Shelly or maybe Shakespeare or some such thing. I want to do it on Blake but everyone condemns me for it.

Also, people suck with money. My job is based on the kind-hearted nature of others who are willing give me a tip so I can live. Other people don't understand this and must feel like I have a billion dollars. My roomates are good at taking advantage of this. They eat the food I bring home, use the ink from my printer, et al. Jose is amazing at using my car then bitching when I ask for gas money. Kelly is amazing at making me print all sorts of shit out for her and then never showing any recompense. Also, I am owed $50 by Kim, Colin, Kelly, and Dustin for Bloc Party tickets. Money truly is the root of all evil and I am so bitter about it. I shouldn't even care but man it really pisses me off. Plus I owe my dad another $4,000 for school. So I am pretty much broke as of now.

However, even in all this sorrow I find felicity in the fact that the trip to Rhode Island will be, hopefully, amazing and I am biking to the beach next weekend, which should also rock.

Q and Not U tomorrow, I am mad excited. I think just meg and I are going so it should be a nice ride up there.

Cabron and Asuka are doing fine. Well Cabron is at least. I am giving Askua to my seventh grade science teacher and keeping cabron for myself. I love him and he is amazing.

Well, I have class so I must depart. I wish all fine and happy memories.

Hey all, haven't updated in a while, which is always a nice thing.

School sucks I want to drop out. The stuff I have to read is awesome but man it blows. I am so done with school. Work sucks too because people have decided to stop coming to CP, which I don't blame them for.

O yeah, I bought a ball python. His name is Banquo but I am not feeling it too much. If anyone has better snake names ideas, tell them to me and deep consideration will go into my naming decision.

Other than that things are chill. I think I am going to go back on Atkins because I was on it, came off it and with gluttonous rage ate everything I could all the time and have gained some shit back. I have been going to the gym because I need to slim down and get in shape for the bike trip to the beach this summer. Slowly, I am going to try and bike a shit ton more. I miss it, and whenever I do bike my life seems so much more perfect.

Well I guess I will leave you all with a quote from Alexander Pope's Rape of the Lock, which I have memorized.

O Hadst thou Cruel! been content to seize
Hairs less in sight or any hairs but these.

The poem talks about a woman who cherishes vanity over her own self being. In the poem, a man cuts a lock of hair from her hair and my quote is her response. Basically she is saying "why didn't you rape me for real and not this public way.

I do love AP.

So true

When Nellie, my old pussy
cat, was still in her prime,
she would sit behind me
as I wrote, and when the line
got too long she'd reach
one sudden black foreleg down
and paw at the moving hand,
the offensive one. The first
time she drew blood I learned
it was poetic to end
a line anywhere to keep her
quiet. After all, many morn-
ings she'd gotten to the chair
long before I was even up.
Those nights I couldn't sleep
she'd come and sit in my lap
to calm me. So I figured
I owed her the short cat line.
She's dead now almost nine years,
and before that there was one
during which she faked attention
and I faked obedience.
Isn't that what it's about--
pretending there's an alert cat
who leaves nothing to chance.
-Phillip Levine

Masquerade!......Every face a different shade!

So I have decided that I need to start playing music again. I need it. As much as a i have a distaste for the clarinet, I have such a great yearn to play something. This means I must begin practice, and I have not played in 2 years. I fear for the sounds my instrument will make.

School has started for me and I am not looking forward to it. Well here is another month wasted on bullshit. Hoorah Hooray. Well one step closer to graduation and being a teacher.
Phantom of the Opera was amazing, I suggest all go and see

Nice Quote

i was reading my friend kyle's blog deal, and someone posted on his post he made about abolishing the death penalty. It came from Lord of the Rings and I thought it was nice, so I am putting it here. Gandalf once said to Frodo:

"Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."

The Gates of Hell (my future tatoo)

These are the gates of hell, if any artist would like to draw ana amzing picture of it based on such a description, so I may tatoo it on my body somewhere, please do, and you will be generously compensated:

Hell bounds high reaching to the horrid Roof,
And thrice threefold the Gates; three folds were Brass
Three Iron, three of Adamantine Rock,
Impenitrable, impal'd with circling fire,
Yet unconsum'd. Before the Gates there sat
On either side a formidable shape;
The one seem'd Woman to the waste, and fair,
But ended foul in many a scaly fould
Voluminous and vast, a Serpent arm'd
With mortal sting: about her middle round
A cry of Hell Hounds never ceasing bark'd
With wide CERBEREAN mouths full loud, and rung
A hideous Peal: yet, when they list, would creep,
If aught disturb'd thir noyse, into her woomb,
And kennel there, yet there still bark'd and howl'd
Within unseen. Farr less abhorrd then these
Vex'd SCYLLA bathing in the Sea that parts
CALABRIA from the hoarce TRINACRIAN shore:
Nor uglier follow the Night-Hag, when call'd
In secret, riding through the Air she comes
Lur'd with the smell of infant blood, to dance
With LAPLAND Witches, while the labouring Moon
Eclipses at thir charms. The other shape,
If shape it might be call'd that shape had none
Distinguishable in member, joynt, or limb,
Or substance might be call'd that shadow seem'd,
For each seem'd either; black it stood as Night,
Fierce as ten Furies, terrible as Hell,
And shook a dreadful Dart; what seem'd his head
The likeness of a Kingly Crown had on.
SATAN was now at hand, and from his seat
The Monster moving onward came as fast,
With horrid strides, Hell trembled as he strode.
Th' undaunted Fiend what this might be admir'd,
Admir'd, not fear'd; God and his Son except,
Created thing naught vallu'd he nor shun'd;
And with disdainful look thus first began.
